PSYCHOLOGY OF SUCCESS.

BE THE MAKER OF YOUR OWN DESTINY THROUGH SELF-EFFORT:
Everyone has a favorite word for the inexplicable in life for that eternal arbiter of universal law. Someone would say, “I haven’t achieved every thing in life by myself; destiny has also been kind to me.” Some else may say, “Destiny is what we make of it”. So generally, destiny for them has two sides – the effort we make, and the result of that effort. The effort is of our choosing, the result may not.

However, ‘effort’ means everything that we make of ourselves, and you could make whatever you wanted of yourself – you could be brave person or a coward, wise or foolish, strong or weak. Destiny was ours to make or unmake. Thereafter came knowledge, effort and goal. Knowledge must direct our efforts to achieve our chosen goal. On certain occasions, we may be creatures of destiny; but that destiny is for us to share as we wish.

You need not petition or blame God for every small thing. If you believe in Him, don’t call his name trivially. God or destiny was someone or something to be understood, felt or realized in action, in deed and not merely by words. Believe in yourself, your family, your friends and the people or society around you. What other God do you need to believe in and what more can any God want you to do? Are they all not His creation?

Therefore, reject fate realize your destiny. One should overcome evil by good and fate by self-effort. One who says, “Fate is directing me to do this” is brainless, and the goddess of fortune abandons him. Hence, by self-effort acquire wisdom and then realize that this self-effort is not without its own end, in the direct realization of the truth.

If an astrologer predicts that a young man would become a great scholar, does that young man become a scholar without study? No. Then why do we believe in destiny? All of us have attained self-knowledge by self-effort alone. Hence, renounce fatalism and apply yourself to self-effort.

Watch your thoughts, they become your words. Watch your words, they become your actions. Watch your actions, they become your habits. Watch your habits, they become your character it becomes your destiny.

The universe is transformation; our life is what our thoughts make it. – (Marcus Aurelius).

PSYCHOLOGY OF SUCCESS.

FAITH AND SELF-CONFIDENCE
From birth until death the mind is always reaching out for that which it does not possess. The little child playing with its toys on the floor sees another child with a different sort of toy and immediately tries to lay hand on that toy. To put it in another way, “The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence”, as it seems to the jackass. With such an attitude of mind, the individual begins to learn that happiness and contentment are not of this world. In desperation, he turns to religion for hope and encouragement.

However, the individual wonders which brand of religion offers the safest passageway, until hope vanishes. Always seeking, but never finding — thus might be described man’s struggle for happiness and contentment.

Life is an everlasting question mark! Our power to “Acquire” is always a decade or so behind our power to “Desire”! And if we catch up with the thing we want, we no longer want it! How beautiful the mountain yonder in the distance. But, the moment we draw near it, we find it to be nothing but a wretched collection of rocks, dirt and trees. Out of truth grew the oft-repeated adage, “Familiarity breeds contempt”.

Happiness, contentment and beauty are states of mind. They can never be enjoyed except through vision of the afar. If the hope of unfinished dreams in man’s heart is destroyed, or the moment he ceases to cherish the vision of future achievement, he is finished. Nature has built man so. Man’s greatest and only lasting happiness is that which he feels in the pursuit of some yet unattained object. Anticipation is sweeter than realization. That which is at hand does not satisfy. The only enduring satisfaction a man keeps alive in his heart is the ‘Hope of Future Achievement’. When that Hope dies write ‘FINISH’ across human heart. Thus, while struggling to achieve his object and to grow in life, he has to keep his hope alive.

GROWTH THROUGH STRUGGLE: Opportunity for growth may be found wherever one really looks for it and nowhere else! Do not worry because the grass looks greener on other side of the fence. Nature intended it so. Thus does she allure us and groom us for the life-long task of ‘Growth Through Struggle’. After removal of discontentment and confusion over your selected goal, you have to struggle for the visualization of and belief in the attainment of your desire. Thus, you must develop faith in your definite chief aim to realize your desire.

CREATION OF FAITH THROUGH AUTO-SUGGESTION: Faith is a state of mind that develops our complete trust or confidence in achieving a desired object. When faith is blended with thought, the Sub-Conscious Mind instantly picks up the vibration, translates it into its spiritual equivalent and transmits it to Infinite Intelligence, as in case of prayer.

Faith may be induced or created by affirmation or repeated instructions to the Sub-Conscious Mind through the principle of Auto-suggestion (self-suggestion). Repetition of the instructions to your sub-conscious mind is the only known method of voluntary development of the emotion of faith. All thoughts that have been emotionalized or given feeling and mixed with faith begin immediately to translate themselves into their physical equivalent or counterpart. Faith gives life, power and action to the impulse of thought. Faith is the only agency through which the cosmic force of Infinite Intelligence can be harnessed and used by man.
AUTOSUGGESTION WORKS LIKE MAGIC: Every man is what he is because of the dominating thoughts, which he permits to occupy in his mind. Thoughts which a man deliberately places in his mind and encourages with sympathy and which he mixes with any one or more of the feelings of emotions, constitute the motivating forces which direct and control his every moment, act and deed. Consequently, thoughts constitute a magnetic force, which attracts other similar or related thoughts. A thought thus “magnetized” with emotion may be compared to a seed which, when planted in fertile soil, germinates, grows and multiplies itself over and over again.

Any idea, plan or purpose may be placed in the mind through repetition of thought. Through this process, you may resolve to throw off the influences of any unfortunate environment and build your own life to order.

NO ONE IS DOOMED TO BAD LUCK: yes, no one is doomed to bad luck, provided you are living in a good system of society. There are millions of people who believe themselves “doomed” to poverty and failure, because of some strange force over which they believe, they have no control. They are creators of their own “misfortunes”, because of this negative belief, which is picked up by the Sub-Conscious Mind and translated into its physical equivalent. It is essential for achieving success to encourage the positive emotions as dominating forces of your mind and discourage and eliminate negative emotions.

YOU ARE WHAT YOU BELIEVE:
The most important quality you can ever develop is having belief in yourself. Withe the belief nursed as faith you can, without a shadow of doubt achieve success in the area of life. Virtually every person has the capacity to do wonderful things with his or her life. But the greatest single obstacle for most people is self-doubt.

The Universal Law of Belief says that whatever we believe, with feelings becomes our reality. We don’t believe what we see; instead, we see what we believe. Our beliefs become form, a screen as to how we see the world, and we never allow any information that is not consistent with our beliefs to pass through it. Even if we have beliefs that are totally inconsistent with reality, we won’t let them through because our beliefs have become true for us.

The most common and the most harmful beliefs are the ones that are self-limiting. These are beliefs about yourself. For example, believing that you can’t achieve something because you don’t have enough money or education. You might believe that you can’t achieve something because you are the wrong sex; race, age, or it is because of the economy. Most of these beliefs are not true, but nonetheless they will hold you back. The fact is you deserve every good thing that you are capable of acquiring through the use of your talents.

The only real limitation on what you can be and have is if you lack the desire. If you set a goal and want to achieve badly enough, nothing in the world can stop you from achieving it, as long as you are willing to persist long and hard enough.

To develop positive beliefs, you have to decide exactly where you want to end up in the future. Once you have clearly decided on the type of person you want to be, you will have already taken a major first step in developing new beliefs. In order to incorporate your new beliefs into your every day life, you have to discipline yourself to act exactly in every situation as if you already were that person. When you begin to act like the successful ones you want to become, you will actually adopt their values, qualities and characteristics. And they will then become a permanent part of your personality.

When you act like that, your attitude will change and become more positive. This will then build stronger and more positive beliefs. And your beliefs will then, exert a positive influence on your values.

You have no limitations on your potential except for those that you believe you have. Successful people are not extraordinary or special in any way. But all successful people do have the unwavering belief that they can accomplish any thing that they really want in life.

From this day forward, see yourself as the very best you can be, and refuse to accept any limitations on your possibilities. Once you develop that belief in yourself, and you act in accordance with your beliefs, your future will be unlimited.

FAITH GIVES COURAGE AND WORKS WONDERS UNSEEN:
Historian Will Durant has described the age we live in as the ‘AGE OF REASON’. This era has succeeded the 'AGE OF FAITH'. However, Rabinderanath Tagore has said, “Faith is the bird that sings when dawn is still dark.”

Faith is not blind. Faith is seeing with the eyes of the mind. With the eyes of faith we can perceive goodness, peace and joy all around us.

It has been said that faith sees the invisible, believes the incredible and receives the impossible. When fear knocks at the door of your heart, send faith to open it and you will be free from distress. Faith believes that God loves you.

On the pathways of life we face different types of weather including stormy and smooth, wild and mild. We come face-to-face with difficulty and danger, disease and death. We feel frightened. If only we cultivate the faith that such experiences come to us not without a purpose, we need never be afraid.

SELF-CONFIDENCE:
Taking inventory of mental assets and liabilities, you can discover that your greatest weakness may be lack of self-confidence. This handicap can be surmounted and timidity translated into courage in the following manner through the aid of Autosuggestion.

1. Have confidence in your ability to achieve the object of your definite
purpose in life through continuous, mentally persuasive persistent action
toward its attainment.

2. Clear picture of the person you intend to become should be created
in the mind. Concentrate your mind for 30 minutes daily upon thinking of
the person you intend to be.

3. Develop self-confidence through Autosuggestion, because any desire
you persistently hold in your mind will eventually seek expression
through some practical means of realizing it.

4.   Have a description of your definite "Chief Aim” in life to realize it
through the strict application of the principle of efficient satisfactory
service.
5. Develop the habit of doing that which you fear to do. As you follow this
principle you will gradually start embracing success. That will strengthen
your self-confidence.

6. No wealth or position can long endure unless built upon truth and
justice. Therefore, engage in no transaction, which does not benefit all
whom it affects. Attract cooperation of other people by first serving them.

7. Develop love for all humanity by eliminating hatred, envy, jealousy, selfishness, and cynicism. It is because you know that a negative attitude toward others can never bring you success. Cause others to believe in you, because you will believe in them and yourself.

STRUGGLE BUILDS UP SELF-CONFIDENCE:
It is a well established fact that the faculties of mind like limbs of the body atrophy and wither away, if not used. Self-confidence is no exception. It develops when used, but disappears if not used.
Far from disadvantage, struggle is a decided advantage, because it develops those qualities, which would ever lie dormant without it. Because, not only does the lack of necessity for struggle lead to weakness of ambition and will-power, but what is more dangerous still, it sets up in a person’s mind a state of lethargy that leads to the loss of self-confidence. Thus, forced idleness is the worst punishment.
One of the chief disadvantages of inherited wealth is the fact that it too often leads to inaction and loss of self-confidence. Inaction leads to atrophy and this in turn leads to loss of ambition and self-confidence. Thus, without these essential qualities of ambition and self-confidence, a man will be carried through life on the wings of uncertainty, just as a dry leaf may be carried here and there on the bosom of stray winds.
While carrying out struggle, believe to earn every thing through faithful and honest service. At the same time, be patient with other people and tolerant with those who do not believe in it. Believe that success is the result of intelligent effort and does not depend on luck, sharp practices, and fellow men, double-crossing friends or your employer. You will render the best service of which you are capable, because you have pledged yourself to succeed in life and that success is always the result of conscientious and efficient effort. Fix such ideas in mind through Autosuggestion.
In this context Emerson has said, “Nothing can bring you peace but yourself”! You might well keep in mind that nothing can bring you success but yourself. Of course you will need the cooperation of others, if you aim to attain success of a far-reaching nature. But, you will never get that cooperation unless you vitalize your mind with the positive attitude of self-confidence. Self-confidence is contagious, it is impelling, it is persuasive and it attracts others.

DISASTER OF NEGATIVE THINKING: Just as electricity will turn the wheels of industry and render useful service if used constructively, or snuff out life if wrongly used, so will the law of Auto-suggestion lead you to peace and prosperity or draw down to the valley of misery, failure and death according to the degree of its understanding and application.
GENIUS LIES ASLEEP IN YOUR BRAIN: Success begins with your will – it is all in the state of mind. Life’s battles don’t always go to the stronger or faster man. Sooner or later, the person who wins is that person ‘Who Thinks He Can’. Somewhere in your make up there lies sleeping, the seed of achievement, which, if aroused and put into cultivation would carry you to heights, such as you may never have hoped to attain. Abraham Lincoln was a failure at every thing he tried, until he was well passed the age of forty. He was Mr. Nobody from nowhere, until a great experience came into his life, aroused the sleeping genius in his heart and brain and gave the world one of its really great men.

A GREAT PSYCHOLOGICAL TRUTH: Skepticism – the Deadly Enemy: It is a great psychological truth that skepticism is the deadly enemy of progress and self-development.

ERADICATE CAUSES BEHIND LACK OF SELF-CONFIDENCE:
In any field, with the process of time the situations may change. However, the person who adapts himself to face the requirements of new situation is considered a self-confident individual. Lack of self-confidence under various situations creates the sense of insecurity. It is necessary to analyze the causes behind lack of self-confidence and remove them in the following manner.

1. Evasive attitude: Becoming capable, as per the demand of situation or circumstances is the sign of self-confidence. However, to run away from the situation or resort to procrastination is the sign of lack of self-confidence.

2. Negative attitude: To have negative feelings of weakness or incapability while dealing with a situation is indicative of inferiority complex. By removing inferiority complex and feeling self-confident to deal with a particular situation you can face the new challenges.

3. Positive comparison: If under any situation, you are always in the habit of comparing your fate with others, then it again indicates your lack of self-confidence. If at all you have to make comparison, it should be positive to excel others. Always remain in touch with those who possess a positive attitude and cheerful nature.

4. Persistent efforts: If you are not persistent in your efforts after one or two set backs, it also indicates lack of self-confidence. There are some works that require persistent and powerful efforts. Therefore, always be prepared for such efforts to achieve your object. Remember, Napoleon Bonaparte was right when he said that the word “impossible” was to be found in the dictionary of fools.

DECISION.

At times, you may find yourself to be incapable of taking decisions. Under such a situation, whether you are successful or a failure, don’t blame it on others. Because, only you are responsible in shaping your personality to achieve your desired objective. You can be capable to become an intelligent decision maker by paying attention to the following points.

1. Do think about the pros and cons of the decision to be taken by you.

2. To make it easy to arrive at the right decision, consider all possible approaches, as every problem has got three or four alternative solutions.

3. Keep an open mind while thinking about the alternative approaches.

4. Collect all possible information on the matter to be decided. Correct decisions may be arrived at on the basis of 50 to 75% information.

5. While keeping in view the real situation consult your conscience before taking a decision.

6. Think of the worst possible results of your decision and about the possible actionable ways to get positive outcome.

7. If you are unable to take decision, you can get Counselling from your sincere friend or a wise person.

8. Be ware of procrastination and take timely decision on the basis of your knowledge, and wisdom in the matter.

9. Decisions are made on basis of courage and belief. So, never allow any weakness to discourage you.

10. Strengthen your personality by eliminating your weaknesses and keep your knowledge updated.

SOUL

Something superficial is said to survive after the death of an individual and that has been termed as 'SOUL' by many of the religious preachers. Innumerable religious preachers have economically progressed by propagating this concept through which they continuosly go on exploiting the credulity of innocent people.

Golden Rule For Progress.

THE GOLDEN RULE
MEANING: The Golden Rule means, substantially, to do unto others, as you would wish them to do unto you if your positions were reversed. The real reason behind this rule is – There is an eternal law through the operation of which we reap that we sow.
When you select the rule of conduct by which you guide yourself in transaction with others, you will be fair and just, very likely, if you know that you are setting into motion, by that selection, a power that will run its course for well-being or grief, in the lives of others, returning finally, to help or hinder you according to its nature.
This law goes much further and even returns a person the results of every thought that he releases. The law upon which the Golden Rule is based begins affecting him, either for good or evil, the moment he releases a thought. It is the medium through which a person becomes the master of his own destiny. It is because his thoughts and acts are the tools with which he ultimately does make his destiny.
Therefore, not alone it is advisable to “do unto others as you wish them to do unto you.” But to avail yourself fully of the benefits of this great Universal Law, you must “think of others as you wish them to think of you”.
You cannot pervert or change the course of this law. But, you can adapt yourself to its nature and thereby use it as an irresistible power that will carry you to heights of achievements which could not be attained without its aid.
A passive attitude towards the Golden Rule will bring no results. It is not enough to merely believe in it. If you want results, you must take an active attitude towards it. With full faith and prayer, apply it in your relationship with others and gradually, you will develop belief in its soundness. There is the belief that no man can attain success in its highest form without the aid of an earnest prayer. Give prayer a trial after every thing else fails to bring you a satisfactory success.
To decide whether your particular action is right or wrong, use logic and reason to deduce its consequences on yourself. You must attempt to determine how your actions will influence others to act towards you. Do you really not care what others think? What are the long-term effects of your actions? May be you need to temper your actions a bit to get more of what you want from others.
Emerson said, “A man passes for what he is worth. What he is engraves itself on his face, on his form, on his fortunes in letters of light which all men may read but him.”
With idea of Golden Rule in mind, Emerson further said, “Whilst frankness proves to be the best tactics, for it invites frankness, puts the parties on a convenient footing and makes their business a friendship. Trust men and they will be true to you; treat them greatly and they will show themselves great by making an exception in your favour to all their rules of trade.”
As this rule comes to be understood, cooperation will take the place of competition, with the result of removing all ground for enmity, whether between individuals, classes or nations. All who will understand and apply this law may profit by shaping their business philosophy to conform to this sweeping change toward cooperation which is taking place all over the world. The failure to adopt the Golden Rule as the foundation of one’s business or professional philosophy is the equivalent of economic suicide.
Golden Rule philosophy when rightly understood and applied makes dishonesty impossible. It also makes it impossible all other destructive qualities such as selfishness, greed, envy, bigotry, hatred and malice.
When you apply the Golden Rule, you become at once, both the judge and the judged–the accused and the accuser. This places one in a position in which honesty begins in one’s own heart, toward one’s self and extends to all others with equal effect. It is not the brand of honesty which recognizes nothing but the question of expediency.
Those who apply this law, do it not alone out of their desire to be just with others, but because of their desire to be just with themselves. They understand that through the operation of this law every thought they release and every act in which they indulge has its own counterpart in some fact or circumstance with which they will later be confronted.
All our acts and even our thoughts of others are registered in our Sub-Conscious Mind through the principle of Auto-suggestion. With this process, we build our own character in exact duplicate of the nature of our thoughts and acts. Consequently, whatever we do unto others we do unto ourselves.
Stated in another way, every act and every thought you release modifies your own character in exact conformity with the nature of the act or thought, and your character is a sort of center of magnetic attraction, which attracts you the people, and conditions that harmonize with it.
You cannot indulge in an act toward another person without having first created the nature of that act in your own thought, and you cannot release a thought without planting the sum and substance and nature of it in your own Sub-Conscious Mind there to become a part and parcel of your own character. By grasping this principle, you understand the injunction, “Return good for evil.”
If you apply this injunction (Return good for evil), you cannot be induced to “strike back” to the person who injures you, for the reason that no man can “strike back” at another “without cost.” Not always is the cost of a monetary nature, for there are other things with which one may pay that are dearer than money. Your character for you is dearer than money and for the sake of the reputation of your character you may be induced to “forgive” your money.

Let us embody the law of Golden Rule in Code of Ethics and adopt, as under.
I. I believe in the Golden Rule as basis of all human conduct. Therefore, I will never
do to another person that which I would not be willing for that person to do to me,
if our positions were reversed.
II. I will be honest in all my transactions with others, because of my desire to be
honest with them, as well as to impress the idea of honesty on my own Sub-
Conscious Mind, thereby weaving this essential quality into my own character.
III. I will forgive those who are unjust toward me, with no thought as to whether they deserved it or not. Because, I understand the law through which forgiveness of
others strengthen my own character and wipes out the effects of my own
transgressions, in my Sub-Conscious Mind.
IV. I will always be just, generous and fair with others, even though I know that these
acts will go un-noticed and un-rewarded, in the ordinary terms of reward.
Because, I understand and intend to apply the law through the aid of which one’s
own character is but the sum total of one’s own acts and deeds.
V. Whatever time I may have to devote to the discovery and exposure of the
weaknesses and faults of others, I will devote more profitably to the discovery of and correctness of my own weaknesses.
VI. I will slander no person, no matter how much I believe another person may
deserve it, because I wish to plant no destructive suggestions in my own Sub-
Conscious Mind.
VII. I will recognize the power of “thought” as being an inlet leading into my brain from
the universal ocean of life. Therefore, I will set no thoughts afloat upon that
ocean lest they pollute the minds of others.
VIII. I will conquer the common human tendency toward hatred, envy, selfishness, jealousy, malice, pessimism, doubt and fear. Because, I believe these to be the
seed from which the world harvests most of its troubles.
IX. When my mind is not occupied with thoughts that tend toward the attainment of
my “Definite Chief Aim” in life, I will voluntarily keep it filled with the thoughts of
courage, self-confidence, goodwill toward others, faith, kindness, loyalty, love for
truth and justice. Because, I believe these to be seed from which the world reaps
its harvest of progressive growth.
X. I understand the law, through operation of which my own character is developed
from my own acts and thoughts. Therefore, I will guard with care all that goes into
its development.
XI. As enduring happiness comes only through helping others find it and no act of
kindness is without its reward, even though it may never be directly repaid, I will
do my best to assist others when and where the opportunity appears.

The Golden Rule, The Rule of “Like Attracts Like” And Effects of Retaliation:
Your character is but the sum total of your thoughts and deeds. Further, like attracts like, as is known to you through the law of attraction. Due to this truth, it is impossible for you to render any useful service or indulge in any act of kindness toward others without benefiting thereby; because your thoughts and deeds are likely to attract those whose characters harmonize with your own constructive attitude. Moreover, it is just as much impossible for you to indulge in any destructive act or thought without paying the penalty in the loss of corresponding amount of your own power.
You need no proof that your hostile or unkind acts toward others bring back the effects of retaliation. Moreover, this retaliation is usually definite and immediate. Likewise, you need no proof that you can accomplish more by dealing with others in such a way that they will want to cooperate with you. You understand how to induce others to act toward you as you wish them to act – through your own attitude towards them. As your thought effect your action, so positive thought develops a dynamic personality and negative thought develops a personality of an opposite nature.
The law of “an eye for eye and tooth for a tooth” is nothing more than the Law of Retaliation. If I speak ill of you, even though I tell the truth, you will not think kindly of me. Furthermore, you will most likely retaliate in kind. But, if I speak of your virtues, you will think kindly of me and when the opportunity appears will reciprocate in kind in the majority of instances.
Through the operation of this Law of Attraction, the uninformed are constantly attracting trouble, grief, hatred and opposition from others by their “unguarded words” and “destructive acts”.
It is therefore, desirable to do unto others as you would have them do unto you; bearing in mind the fact that human nature has a tendency to retaliate in kind. In other words, if you would not have your eye plucked out, then ensure against this misfortune by refraining from plucking out the other fellow’s eye.

Golden Rule Strengthens Character: Instead of retaliating in kind, as mentioned above, go a step further and render the other fellow an act of kindly helpful service and through the operation of this same Law of Retaliation, he will render you a similar service.
And if he fails to reciprocate your kindness – What then?
You have profited, nevertheless, because of the effect of your act on your own Sub-Conscious Mind.
It might happen that you would base all of your acts toward others on the Golden Rule without enjoying any direct reciprocation for a long period of time or the others would never reciprocate your acts of kindness. But, in the meantime you have been adding vitality to your own character and sooner or later this positive character which you have been building will begin to assert itself and you will discover that you have been receiving compound interest in return for those acts of kindness which appeared to have been wasted on those who neither appreciated, nor reciprocated them.

SUCCESS--DNA vs LEARNED BEHAVIOUR.

SUCCESS—DNA VERSUS LEARNED BEHAVIOUR
In a more serious vein, a study conducted by scientists of the Institute for the Study of Labour and the University of Bonn, reveals that parents who revel in taking risks tend to have children who are more willing to indulge in risk-taking behaviour. And the eagerness to trust fellow human beings is also apparently inherited. This may explain why success seems to be a family affair, as every economic decision is a result of judicious risks and trust imposed on worthy individuals.

Therefore, it is a matter to be seriously considered whether by sheer hard work, talent or just the advantage of an environment that inspires achievement, being born and bred in the lap of success seems to be a sure shot manner of being successful in one’s adult years. So, does success, apparently do beget success?

Researchers point out; ‘heritability’ suggests the importance of considering genetic factors to explain why some people are successfully entrepreneurial, while others are not. The research further debunks another myth that opposites always attract. “Women who like taking risks are more likely to have husbands of the same ilk. This shapes the attitude and mindset of the offspring who, in turn, choose a partner similar to themselves. Thus, ‘success’ is inherited across several generations.”

Then, is there any reason to indulge in backbreaking hard work? There is, it seems. “Your genetic composition can give you a good start as you have an environment that exposes you to success. It surely lends you that advantage. Nevertheless, remember that just acquiring the genes cannot give you the actions of your parents.

However, if you are growing up in a family full of achievers, you certainly do not want to be qualified as the family wastrel who just lolls about and enjoys the scent of money. When you live with successful people, you also want to be successful. Yes, your genes give you an edge, an initial advantage. But after that, you have to possess the required talent.

Therefore, while the components of success are genetic, success itself could be an amalgamation of genes as well as learned behaviour. Just breathing in an environment where a ‘good morning’ is accompanied with the latest share bazaar news could be inspiration enough to try walking in daddy’s footsteps. And that could well pave the way to success.

Evolution of Relgion.

EVOLUTION OF RELIGION
Evolution of religion is generally linked with the existence of God. During the primitive stage of evolution, human beings were like the other animals. However, possessed greater intelligence and the power of thought than other beings on this planet. They had no distinction between the noble and ignoble deeds i.e. sinful deeds transgressing against the divine law. Therefore, at that stage, man could be described as a noble-savage. He did not feel the necessity to imagine about God. With the process of time, and sharp evolution of material progress, he came to be bound by some limitations in his conduct for smooth running of his social and economic needs. It led to the origin of noble, and ignoble or sinful deeds for orderly functioning of human society.
Secondly, man was unable to imagine the causes behind the natural phenomenon like earth-quakes, bursting of volcanoes, tsunami, floods, draughts, famines, outbreak of diseases, etc and miseries like hunger, loss of life, and property. Naturally, he felt frightened and used to lose his self-confidence to smoothly run his life. Out of fear, man imagined that on this planet, or out of this universe, there must be some imperceptible and omnipotent 'power' behind this entire phenomenon that was controlling his destiny. He variously termed this 'power' as God, Allah, Bhagwan, etc. before whom he bowed his "head" with folded "hands" to pay his obeisance to expect favour. Some of the natural phenomenon came to be linked to the cosmic bodies or 'divine' ancestors. With prayer to God, or cosmic bodies, or 'divine' ancestors, he started feeling good to restore his self-confidence that was necessary for a positive effect over his mental, and physical life, and consequently over the economic condition.
Simultaneous to this process, the 'smart and 'clever' individuals developed themselves into priesthood and started imprisoning both his "head" (linked with consciousness) and "hands" (linked with conduct & creativity) with the object to get benefit out of his creative activities. The said 'smart' and 'clever' individuals connived with the mighty-individuals or the rulers, and linked religion with morality and ethics to command natural and automatic obedience from the masses, and thus they became capable to serve their vested interests.
