PSYCHOLOGY OF SUCCESS.

BE THE MAKER OF YOUR OWN DESTINY THROUGH SELF-EFFORT:
Everyone has a favorite word for the inexplicable in life for that eternal arbiter of universal law. Someone would say, “I haven’t achieved every thing in life by myself; destiny has also been kind to me.” Some else may say, “Destiny is what we make of it”. So generally, destiny for them has two sides – the effort we make, and the result of that effort. The effort is of our choosing, the result may not.

However, ‘effort’ means everything that we make of ourselves, and you could make whatever you wanted of yourself – you could be brave person or a coward, wise or foolish, strong or weak. Destiny was ours to make or unmake. Thereafter came knowledge, effort and goal. Knowledge must direct our efforts to achieve our chosen goal. On certain occasions, we may be creatures of destiny; but that destiny is for us to share as we wish.

You need not petition or blame God for every small thing. If you believe in Him, don’t call his name trivially. God or destiny was someone or something to be understood, felt or realized in action, in deed and not merely by words. Believe in yourself, your family, your friends and the people or society around you. What other God do you need to believe in and what more can any God want you to do? Are they all not His creation?

Therefore, reject fate realize your destiny. One should overcome evil by good and fate by self-effort. One who says, “Fate is directing me to do this” is brainless, and the goddess of fortune abandons him. Hence, by self-effort acquire wisdom and then realize that this self-effort is not without its own end, in the direct realization of the truth.

If an astrologer predicts that a young man would become a great scholar, does that young man become a scholar without study? No. Then why do we believe in destiny? All of us have attained self-knowledge by self-effort alone. Hence, renounce fatalism and apply yourself to self-effort.

Watch your thoughts, they become your words. Watch your words, they become your actions. Watch your actions, they become your habits. Watch your habits, they become your character it becomes your destiny.

The universe is transformation; our life is what our thoughts make it. – (Marcus Aurelius).
